NKCR – Day 2 – Vernon to Revelstoke

Daily Dedication

Todays Dedication was for Taissa – Her Mom joined us via video link

At age 12 Taissa was diagnosed with Non- Hodgkin’s Lyphoma. Taissa lost her battle on March 29 2001 at the age of 13.

To see the full story about her brave battle please see the attached picture below.

The Ride

The first part of the ride was very emotional as I processed Taissa’s dedication.

We started our journey In Vernon BC and headed northwest towards Revelstoke. Another beautiful sunny day! Another gorgeous scenic ride through the mountains. Our first stop was Enderby BC. We got to meet Pauls Mom and Dad who live in Enderby. Pauls Mom organized everything for the stop and the local Lions Club donated $300 to the cause. I gave the thank you speech to Pauls Mom and presented here with the thank you plaque signed by all the riders.

Our next ride segment was from Enderby to Sicamous – more gorgeous scenery along the way. We stopped at the local arena where the crew made another awesome lunch for us.

The final two legs took us along hwy 1 all the way to Beautiful Revelstoke

This is where we sat to eat dinner in Revelstoke for another great meal prepared by Jeff and Fiona
