Day 6 - Regina to Carlyle

Day 6 – Regina to Carlyle

The weather today was horrible: cold and wet and Filmore Central School opened its doors for and gave us lunch and showers. Unfortunately the riders were called off the road die to unsafe road conditions rain and cold..Thank you Filmore Central School for your unbelievable hospitality!

Day 6 also featured a breakfast in the mess hall of the RCMP Training academy. National rider Paul Stevens who has served the force for over 20 years accepted a huge donation to help end kids cancer.

Riders / Volunteers Perspective

From the Blog

Well the rain came down in wooshes today. Hard on the riders as they battle the cold, wind & rain. Tough on the bodies…Yet they don’t complain. You have a lot of time to think when out on the road & I started reminiscing of the way Cancer affected my sons body. This is why I ride & volunteer. I don’t ever want you to ever see such a thing happen with your child!!!
