As a beginner triathlete this past year, I recognized how fortunate I am to be healthy, to be fit, and to have access to basic resources and caring people. I am incredibly grateful for this and want to give something back in support of those who aren’t as fortunate. The SNKCR is a chance of a lifetime that will both challenge me and inspire me, all the while making a strong contribution and difference in children’s lives.
In September 2010, I will be joining more than 42 other brave cyclists in a ride across Canada to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer research and support programs.
I am 56 years young and married to a beautiful lady, Christine.
As well as cycling, I enjoy snowboarding and barefoot water skiing.
I believe that of all my past experiences, nothing will compare to this ride. This will take a team effort, my family for the support, my fundraising team and you, my sponsors.

A little about myself, I am a father of two children, Raegan, born 1997 and Drew, born 2000. They are constantly teaching me more about myself. I am looking forward to the challenges that the Sears National ride presents and sharing those experiences with new friends.

Hi. My name is Elizabeth Manley and I am riding my bike across Canada to raise funds to fight childhood Cancer. On September 9th, I will be joining approximately 45 incredible individuals as we spend 15 days riding across the country in the third annual Sears National Kids Cancer Ride. At any given time, cancer holds 10,000 Canadian children in its grip. It robs them, and their families, of the laughter and joy that should be part of every childhood. Riding in the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride will channel my physical, mental and emotional energy into something much greater – helping brave children return to life as regular kids again. The Sears National Kids Cancer Ride funds programs that improve the lives of children living with cancer as well as those recovering from the physical and emotional scars that can be part of survivorship. Beyond the children themselves, their families and friends benefit from on-going support programs provided for by the National Kids Cancer Ride. Our destination - Beyond Cancer.
